Today I`m going to write THE LAST POST!! I will miss you!

Well, I`m not sure about what topic to write because today the topic is free, just to write about something that I comment my opinion.  I think and I would like to write about Mapuche conflict because I think that is a contingently topic. Do you know something about this?

I`m really sad about the daily atmosphere of violence that they are living.  This brings them death and suffering. Since that Spanish people arrived, Mapuche people have been suffering a lot of violence and repression.  They took  all their land and now they are marginalized.

I think that all of us should be empathize with this people because we all have Mapuche´s blood. I mean, the Chilean people are mixed race. Everybody knows that. We couldn`t impose our beliefs and system to their, because they always lived in another way.  

In my career I have learned to take care environmental, with respect to this, I think that Mapuches knows a lot of to take environmental care and we could learn a lot of them and complement our knowledges.

Thursday past my aunt and my little cousin went to a manifestation for Mapuches rights and human rights. In there, the police throw water to children and even to old people.  My aunt and cousin were wet and my cousin got sick. Just for trying to express their opinions.

So I know this topic is controversial and I would like to you comment something about this.

English Language Challenges

How are you today? I´m fine!! This is the one before the last post, the summer is coming!!

Well, in this post I will write about my experience in English class.

I have always known that English is a very important tool for future, my parents always said me that I would need it someday.  So, I really like English, I mean I think that it is a very practical language but it´s not my favourite.  I think Spanish is a very beautiful language and allow to express your thinking in a better way, well I don´t stray from the topic.

The English class in University is very important and essential. I think that in a prestigious University like this (Universidad de Chile) is almost an obligation impart good English classes. In my experience that classes have been pretty good, I have been able practice my oral interaction and my pronunciation, I have learned a lot of words and vocabulary and theclass topic are interesting. All classes we have written posts about different topics, just like this and this activity is so funny and is very useful to practicing script.  

Whit respect to my English, I think that I need to improve a lot of things and increase my vocabulary and English phrases, I mean, I usually talk with Chilean words and it´s very difficult try to say this phrases in English jaja you know! I need to practice my oral interaction too because sometimes I feel that my oral interaction isn’t fluently.

In my normal days I don´t use English, only to reed some papers but not that much. I would like to use more than that, I don´t know, maybe I could write with an English student in another part of the world jaja what do you think?

Changes to my study program

Hi bloggers!! Everything is ok?

I´m fine, today I´m going to write about my study program and the things that I would change to make it better.

I applied to Forestry the second semester of 2015. When I read about this career I thought the best thing it had was a lot of practices and travels. In my previous career all the work was done in laboratories and it ended up boring me. I needed go outside and tour incredible places.

Well, I have been studying for 3 years and now I think things could be better. In general, Universidad de Chile is quite messy I think. Another issue is the security inside, it is so insecure for students. So, I´m deviating a bit haha! For my study program I would improve a couple things.  In first place I would improve statistics class because only 2 courses about statistics are not enough, all students complain about it and I agree, statistics are very important and it is the basis of a good and successful investigation.

Another thing that I would do is add an extra English class because I think that, similarly to statistics class, the current English courses are not enough. I would like to speak and write better, things like these opens good opportunities in life and I feel disadvantaged with respect to another students. I think that, to learn English you need a lot of practice and because of that we need more English classes and more practice.

My Future Job

Hi bloggers!! How are you?

I’m fine because today I will talk to you about my aspiration and future jobs.

I have always been so indecisive. When I graduated in 2012, I was not sure about which career to choose and finally I applied at Biochemistry career. In that moment I thought that I must choose just for abilities and in school I had a very good chemistry marks. So, in 2015 I decided to change my career and I applied to Forestry. It was the best decision I have made. In these years I have worked with two different teachers in science investigation. I really like this area. But I told you, I’m so indecisive. In this moment I´m incapable to decide for a future job because it has many interesting topics. I have thought in a lot of jobs, like science research, entomology, social work or something where I can contribute to make a better world.  

I really like dreaming about the future, when I was a child, I dreamed with living in another country, you know!! I told you about it in other blogs, so it is a possibility to try emigrating, looking for new opportunities and strengthen my career. Who knows??

Types of Plants

Hi dear bloggers, it is nice to see you again.

Today I will write about Plants!! I really like all plants but now I’m going to talk about my favourite vegetal formation. The forest of south of Chile is the most beautiful and perfect forest that I know, specifically in the region of Los Lagos, in there exist one of the many Chilean forestall types, it is the always green forest. The climate condition and composition of plants allow for having the most perfect picture. When I was child, I always traveled to my aunt`s house in Puerto Montt, there we (my family) walked for this type of forest, when I go there now, I remember all these beautiful memories and I feel quite happy.

I really like the forest`s smell, it is a combination of soil, moisture and plants. One of my favourite plants in there is Alerce, Fitzroya cupressoides. Do you know it? It is so big and imposing, taller than other trees and it could be so old.  

In my career I have learned a lot of thing, like a physiology of plant, dynamic of forest, soils science, botany and more other,  and these entire things have helped me to understand the ecosystems and take care of the earth. The plants are the connection with our planet and I feel so privileged for having this knowledge.

I`m going to talk about music, I really love this topic because music is very important in my life.

So, why is so important to me? Well, since I can remember I`ve really enjoyed music, all the types of music. In my school time I was in an orchestra, I played traverse flute for four years and when I was in the orchestra´s room I forgot all the problems and I felt a lot of peace. One of my favorite theme was Star wars medley. Now, when I listen to music I feel this peace again and music captivates me. My favorite type of music is the "big band music", this type of music may appear older for me but it`s one of my favorites. Do you know this? Benny Goodman´s and Glen Miller`s themes are my favorites, try to listen one of them and tell me what do you think jajaja. I also enjoy the music of bands  like Bee gees, The Beatles, AHA, Queen and one not than known, Electric Light Orchestra.

I think that the contemporary music is worser than older music, but even so I like Coldplay`s songs and Toe`s music,                                                                   this one is a math rock and Indie rock band.

The best holiday I've ever had

Hi dears!

How are you? , I`m so good. Today I`m going to write about the best holiday I have ever had. Well, I remember two, but in this moment I just write about one.  

Last summer, in February I traveled to Cochamó, this town is near to Puerto Montt in the south of Chile. I was there for two weeks, it was a few days but these days were so amazing. The first week, we (my boyfriend, any friends and I) stayed in a camping site in center of the town.  The rest of the days we stayed at a friend’s house at 3 km of the town.  All these days we explored the mountains and I took advantage for took pictures and relax.  

For five days, we began a journal in the middle of the mountains; this was so incredible and wild. I never did this before. The forest in there was so astonishing and really, it was the oldest forest I´ve ever seen.  We tried to looking for a lagoon, but we never found it. This is one of the reasons for that I need to come back.

In other moment I will talk to you about my other best travel.
